Topic: Print to specific printer in VB.net

Hello,

I’ve been working several days to create a program in VB.NET to print massive amounts of PDF’s. We print around 6000 pages every month all on the same day, which are statements that go to customers.

Needless to say it would be nice to have a program that will have a list of PDF’s, and for each a number of copies, and which printer to send it to. We use 3 printers simultaneously.

I have the program working just fine, but two things elude me, how to print to a specific printer, and how to print multiple copies of a PDF (Without sending the same job more then once.)

I’ve been trying to get this to work over a JSO link, and the code in question looks like this, but none of the printParams ever crossover from the program to Acrobat.

Dim pdDoc As Acrobat.CAcroPDDoc
Dim jso As Object
Dim printObjParams As Object

pdDoc = CreateObject("AcroExch.PDDoc")
pdDoc.Open(fileName)
jso = pdDoc.GetJSObject

printObjParams = jso.getPrintParams
printObjParams.printerName = "Canon iR C3200 PS3"
jso.print(printObjParams)

I’ve read over the VB/JavaScript document and the JavaScript reference several times, but I can’t figure out how to get this to work, not to mention how to get the copies to be anything other then 1.

Thanks in advance.
Jeremy
