Topic: Strange behavior of CAcroPDAnnot in Acrobat 7.0

With Acrobat 7.0 I'm having the following strange issue. I add a new annot using AcroPDPage::AddNewAnnot. But the result
returned from this method is not the annot I created. For example, I do
LPDISPATCH lpdAnnot = pdpage.AddNewAnnot(-1, "Sometype");
and then the result returned from
is not 0. If I add a series of annots, it is 0 only for the first annot, then it grows as if I add annots not to the beginning, but to the end (i.e. 1, 2, 3, etc.).
Also, if Acrobat is opened fresh and the document is loaded into it, the process goes OK. If it is reopened, it gives the above mentioned behavior.
Can anyone explain me this issue? I'm completely stuck.
