I'm having problems exporting PDF's from Adobe Pagemaker. Our company owns Pagemaker 6.5. Since I was unable to export a PDF using that version, I decided to install Pagemaker 7.0 30-day tryout. No luck-- I'm still receiving an error. I tried installing Adobe InDesign tryout, as we intend to buy it soon, but my current PC won't even run that software! So, until i receive a new PC (currently on being built, shipping soon), i'll have to suffer the use of this one and try to fix my problem.

I've attached a screen shot of the error. I AM able to print to PDF, but as far as i'm aware, i can't modify the PDF output resolution.

i've pasted text from an e-mail received from a magazine in which we advertise. I need to meet their specs. please help me to arrive at a satisfactory PDF file. i'm new at desktop publishing, so many of these settings are foreign to me.

pasted text: "Hi-Resolution PDF. The recommended setting is PDF/X-1a (Acrobat Distiller or InDesign). All fonts must be embedded and all files must use CMYK high-resolution images. Grayscale images can be used for black and white ads. Please include bleed and crop marks in your high-resolution PDF."

i understand CMYK, but how do i include bleed an crop marks? thank you!
