Topic: Changing Form XObject's (PDEForm) content - PDE layer does not works?
Conf: (P-PDF) Developers, Msg: 136858

Hi Developers,

I am not able to change GState of elements located in XObjects forms.
Does anybody know if is it possible, or there is some restriction about this.
Any help would be appreciate.

Thanks in advance,

Regards,
J. Bigonz

Here is the example:
/* Pure kPDEPath objects GState are transformed well, but transforming kPDEPath objects located in PDEForms are not applied to final PDF. However, when I am debuging the GState looks modified in Form XObjects too, but the change are not written into PDF - maybe this is a bug in PDPageSetPDEContent function?
*/
//lets go to change GState of kPDEPath objects
...
PDEContent pageContent = PDPageAcquirePDEContent(currentPDPage, gExtensionID);

ChangeGState(pageContent);

PDPageSetPDEContent(currentPDPage, gExtensionID);
...

ChangeGState(PDEContent cont)
{
for (ASInt32 i = 0; i < PDEContentGetNumElems(cont); i++)
{
PDEElement curElem = PDEContentGetElem(cont, i);
switch (PDEObjectGetType((PDEObject)curElem))
{
case kPDEForm:
ChangeGState(PDEFormGetContent((PDEForm)curElem)); //recursive calling
break;
case kPDEPath:
PDEElementSetGState(curElem, &gMyGState, sizeof(gMyGState));
break;
default:
break;
}
}
}

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
