Topic: Adobe Acrobat 6.0 was unable to install and must quit'

Having major grief today. Came to work booted up my G5. None of my CS suite is working neither is quarkxpress 6.5 (something to do with missing Xerces Framework). Im gutted, I am seriously busy and cannot get anything done. Hopefully somone can help. I am not a serious mac user, outside of work (more PC). Though I am computer literate, it is just that I use my mac for design. So my knowledge is predominantly around the use of the packages and not the internal gubbins of the system.

So the main problem lies with Adobe Acrobat 6 Pro, installed from the creative suite. When I go to start the program it just gives me the error: ' Adobe Acrobat was unable to install and must quit' I have looked up the error on the abobe website and it says something to do with a missing folder. As far as I can see the folders are there. I have reinstalled it 3 times with no change on start up.

As far as I am aware nothing was deleted or removed By accident. There have been no crashes etc on my system so what could have caused this.? Virus or a Trojan? or has something corrupted within the system folder. Maybe something that can be replaced or re-installed.

Any help or pointers would be most welcome , as
I am seriously considering reinstalling my whole system.

thank you

Ned
