Well, I am opening, saving and closing a PDF in a typical manner, something like:

Dim Exch As Acrobat.CAcroApp
Dim PDDoc As Acrobat.CAcroPDDoc
Dim AVDoc As Acrobat.CAcroAVDoc

Exch = CreateObject("AcroExch.App")
AVDoc = CreateObject("AcroExch.AVDoc")
PDDoc = CreateObject("AcroExch.PDDoc")

AVDoc.Open(fName, "")
PDDoc = AVDoc.GetPDDoc
PDDoc.Save(PDSaveFull + PDSaveCollectGarbage, fname)
