Topic: Two fieldname problems

There are two problems we are having with field names:

1) Fields with '.' in them have unexpected results which vary between different PDF libraries and toolkits. Usuially the results are as follows:
[Actuial Fields]
Name.First
Name.Last
[Result #1]
Name
Name.First
Name.Last
[Result #2]
First
Last

2) Fields with the same names are comming up in APDFL (DataLogics) as annotations with no field type (CosDictKnown(Object, ASAtomFromString("FT")) returns false) or ID (CosDictKnown(Object, ASAtomFromString("T")) returns false). But for some reason the position and subtype are still good.
