Looks perfectly fine to me :(.

I don't see anything there that's out of the ordinary (well,
other than missing error handling ;). You set up a valid ExtGState
(though not necessary if you aren't actually using transparency - and
you're not, since you are only doing a stroke and it's set to 1.0),
then create your color and path and do the ops.

And this is failing in Acrobat 6 or 7? (or both?)
