I'll admit right up front that I'm definitely not very well-versed in the PDF world, so hopefully my question will not come across as too elementary.
I have a PDF form that was designed for me several months ago. It is a payroll timesheet with fields for employee name, employee number, etc. The PDF form will be printed and given out to employees, who will fill it in and return it, and then have the timesheet scanned and OCR'ed for entry into the payroll module of my ERP system.
I am able to export some of the commonly repeated information such as name, number, certain codes, etc. so the employee does not need to fill them in each week. This will also help with the OCR since the information will not be hand written. The export would be in the form of a comma-delimited file, with the first line containing the names of the field in the PDF form, and the data on subsequent lines below.
Does anyone know of a tool (preferably stand-alone, but I'm open to a larger PDF toolset) that would allow me to import the comma-delimited text file into the PDF form? Again, the text file will contain the names of the fields - I need to map the data to the fields, and produce a new page/completed form for each line of data in the text file.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards: Bill
