Topic: Duplicate FontFile2???

I have an application that convert the text file (formatted text file) into PDF. I wrote the application so it could embed the font.

Now, all I need to do is to optimize the PDF file. If I have 2 texts that using the same fonts (eg. "MS Gothic") with different styles (eg. one text has bold and another has italic style), then the font has been embedded twice.

I tried to re-use the previous embedded font but it doesn't honor the style. (Eventhough I already make sure that the FontDescriptor is right).

The way I get the font data is using CDC::GetFontData(...) function.

My question is, how can I get the common FontFile2 for font "MS Gothic" so I can re-use this FontFile2 regardless of the different styles?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Cheers :)
