Topic: Load Bookmarks from External File to allow dynamic updating

Good Day! I have large PDF map files (hundreds of them) that I post on the web. We use Bookmarks and/or Destinations to set a view of a detail area (hundreds of these). However, the views change, so the PDF document has to be updated. And the user has to download the BIG HUGE map file again, just to get the new bookmark data. I would like all the Bookmark data to be stored in an External File with a call from the Map PDF to load the data. This way, only a small file needs to be updated and downloaded.
Or one idea is to have a small PDF with the navigation that controls the Map file. But when you click a link, the navigation widow is covered up by the Map. It would be nice if it would stay visible to the user, like frames in HTML.
Also as the number of Bookmarks grows, it would be nice if they were stored in a database and auto-generated based on a SQL query.
Basically, we wish to control the zoom/pan view of existing PDF maps without having to upload and then re-download them.
Donít ask for much eh! Ideas and Suggestions would be appreciated.
