Hello All,

i am in need of some help. I would like to thank you all in advance for any suggestions and hopefully solutions you have!!

first let me start off explaining what i am trying to do. i am using Acrobat Pro 7.0 and VB6 OLE. i am currently searching though a PDF file using "FindText". That is working perfectly, but i need to get the rectangle of the found text for i may create a link for it.

it is a little more colplex than that i am affraid... i cannot use the nifty JS object to do a word by word search and the nice getPageNthWordQuads because i have to extract all text from document first and test against some regular expressions i created to even know what word i need. the regular expressions match Links and Emails. and unforunantly with JS getPageNthWord the words stop at the "@" and the "." and break into multiple words. once i have built an array of all the regular expression matches i use the "FindText" method and it of course finds it and hilites it on the page.

now all i need to de is figure out a way to get the position of the word so i can create a link.

i hope this makes sense...

Please all help is greatly appreciated.

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
