Hi All,

I am extracting the text from a table of rows and coloumns.

I am using this code to get the element type

if (PDEObjectGetType((PDEObject) pdeElement) == kPDEPath)
pathRetInt = PDEPathGetData ((PDEPath) pdeElement, iPathData,100);

if (pathRetInt)
switch (iPathData[0])
case kPDERect:
ASFixedRect asfRect;
CFixedRect fRect(asfRect, 2);
// here i am checking the line is horizontal or vertical line
abs( top - bottom )

// here what is happening is for some documents it is coming correct meaning it is giving correct no of horizontal and vertical lines of a table but for some documents it is giving wrong table information that is the no of horizontal lines are vertical lines are completely opposite.

can any one tell me what is the problem. Is this problem with the rotation of the page? or is this giving any problem with the font?

Amarnath Aitha.
