I just purchased a used copy of Acrobat 6 Pro and installed it on OS X 10.3.9 with Office X.
I bought it because I thought the product was useful, based on my experience in Windows creating PDFs from Word that included the metadata, bookmarks, and links. So far, Adobe's drag and drop installation on my Mac has left me with nothing but printer problems, so I haven't even had a chance to try to convert a Word doc to PDF.
Am I reading the posts in this forum correctly that on the Mac you can only print to PDF and not convert? (And by convert, I don't mean just a flat PDF with no navigational features and no document information.) We can't get the metadata? We can't get the bookmarks? We can't get the links?
If this is not correct, someone please tell me there is an easy way to automate using Acrobat or Distiller.
If this is correct, that blows; Adobe, you suck.
