I am a Teacher in Thailand and have a variety of resources supplied to me in PDF format. A common problem is that special characters are not displaying correctly in the PDF's that have been supplied to me. These are tending to be mainly mathematical symbols.

When I do an accessibility report it tells me that there are a number of words that contain characters with no reliable mapping to Unicode. When I view the fonts embedded or not embedded in the pdf it seems that all are embedded apart from the Base 14 fonts so there are no fonts missing as such.

Any ideas why it is not displaying correctly?
