Topic: PDF Field Retention

I have floor plans right now that are created and maintained using Microsoft Visio. I then export them to PDF and place them on our Intranet site. I would like to add PDF Form fields to the document and populate the fields with data from a database. All of this I can do. My question is if I need to make a change to the PDF file in Visio, is there anyway for me to retain the Acrobat form fields after I update in Visio? My thought is maybe the form fields could act as a template layer and I could just merge them into the updated PDF document. Something along those lines.
