i'm new to pdf creation and just want to make a pdf that can be emailed and printed elsewhere. sounds simple enough.
i created 4 eps pages in illustrator, used distiller to convert them to pdfs, then acrobat to assemble the pdfs into one pdf and used the reduce file size option.
it opens just fine but when i try to print this assembled pdf (413k), it spools about 9 megs and takes forever to print. i did research and found topics about postscripts and ghostscripts but this means nothing to me...i don't get it.
if anyone can give a brief walkthrough on creating a simple pdf that is relatively low in file size and can print without a hitch please enlighten me.
in the dark.
