Hi, I'm trying to resave my brochure so flash can import it correctly. I've done the following:
1. I created a layerd adobe 6 pdf in illustrator. I used Arial Regular font for any text. I imported the pdf to flash and all the words were messed up, instead of "text" it said "H%KS" or something similar.
2. I opened the pdf in acrobat pro 6. I highlighted the text, right clicked went to properties and changed the font from ArialMM to Arial. I got a warning saying I was changing from a multi-byte to single-byte font. What is the difference?
Anyway, this made it so flash imported the text correctly.
3. I'm trying to change a pdf I downloaded, about 20 pages of text and images, to a pdf that flash will understand. It keeps saying some fonts are imbedded.
So, I opened acro Distiller 6.0.1 and ran did two different things and got different errors
3.a: I ran standard settings on my pdf and got these errors:
Can't delete existing file: [...] The file is open by another applications.
An error occured moving the log file.
This is not true, I'm 100% sure no other program is using the file.
3.b. I ran standard settings and saved to a different folder than the original and got this error:
Adobe PDF Settings /Users/Shared/AdobePDF6.0/Setting/Standard.joboptions
%%[Error:undefined; OffendingCommand: obj]%%
Warning: Log file could not be created.
%%[Flushing: rest of job (to end.....
%%[Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced.]%%
An error occurred moving the log file.
Distill Time:0 seconds(00:00:00)
****End of Job****
Any ideas on that one?
Any input on any of my problems would be greatly appreciated.
