Topic: Graphics disappearing when printing

Our advertisers supply me with hi-res PDFs and I place them within a magazine layout in Quark 6 on OS X. Onscreen-and when printing straight from Acrobat-all the ads look great, all graphics accounted for, and fonts are fine.

Once the ad PDFs are placed in Quark, however, graphics (such as logos - has never happened with photos) are occasionally dropping out. I can't find a pattern to this behavior, but it's crucial I figure it out because it's making me crazy, not to mention making me look bad : (

Any ideas???
