Can anyone tell me why I'm getting the "circle R" garbage in the mailing panel at the bottom of the attached PDF?

They are in the address block at the bottom left and in the boxed indicia at the bottom right.

I only see this when I export a PDF for this page by itself.
This is actually part of a 4-page document.
When I export a PDF that includes all 4 pages - this problem doesn't happen.

Software used is Quark 6.1 on Mac OS 10.2.8.
This came from Quark's Export as PDF function - did not use Distiller.

If this is posted in the wrong forum, please advise and I'll move it.
