Topic: Word to PDF then Allow Add'l. Text

Hi all. This is my first post.

I have Word docs (thousands) that have tables. They are used for computer validation testing once they've been printed. Left side expected result, right side columns blank for Actual Results including pass/fail and initial & date.

To avoid the paper, I want to convert to PDF and prevent changes to Expected result, but allow changes (addition of text) for Actual Results plus e-signature using PKI Entrust.

Is this possible for trained staff to convert test scripts and have a simple process for users to add their results & sign? It would seem so easy?? I have Adobe Acrobat 5.0 but may be able to get "buy-in" for newer version or third party tool if we can eliminate the ink written results.

Sorry for the wordy question...thanks for any help.

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
