I have made the attached document in order to be able calculate a rate and a completion time when you enter a time and amount loaded.
The way the calculation is meant to run is:
Cargo to go columns:
Take the quantity from the "m3" or "mt" field and subtract the "COBm3.X" or "COBmt.X" (X correspond to the row)and show the result.
Hourly rate columns:
Take the value from the previous row date/Time field ("Time.X") and subtract the value from the same rows date/Time field ("Time.X")
Take the cargo to go from the previous row and subtract the cargo to go from the same row.
Divide the coargo to go difference with the time difference and show the result as m3 or mt per hour respectively.
Time to completion column:
Divide the cargo to go m3 from the same row with the hourly rate m3 and show the result as hours and minutes.
This I got to work most of the time. For some reason it will not work every time and sometimes it gives completely different results.
Does anyone know why this happens?
As the document is meant to be printed I wanted it to blank all rows which did not have a date/time noted. This was done in the validation part.
For some reason this gives very different results every time. Sometimes it works one way and not the other way. Sometimes some of the fields are blanked but not the the others using the same formula.
Can anyone give me glue how to make it work every time?
