There is no Acrobat Writer 7, but I assume you mean Standard or Professional.

There is the potential for getting messed up if you have both Reader and Acrobat Standard/Professional installed. Only Acrobat can handle OLE, yet Reader might be running.

As a test, start Acrobat first. Check it isn't Reader that you see. Then test whether the OLE calls work.

Worth a try, anyway.
