Stefan,
It was suggested to me offlist that there is, in fact, a partial
solution for your problem - one I had completely forgotten to mention in
my original post.
See the "Options" in the Tags Panel. From there, you can edit the Role
Maps for your document, reassigning (for example) <_Heading 1> to
.
You won't get the pretty icons this way in the Tags panel, but you will
know to which logical element your tags actually map...
Forcing the Tag panel icons to display according to their mapping
(rather than their "displayed" tag type) is an interesting idea...
