I just made my first pdf file (Acrobat 7) to keep a 12 months running total of fuel purchased.
It has 3 columns:
First column is for the date.
Second column is for the quantity of gallons purchased each month.
Third column is to calculate the 12 months running total (current month plus previous 11 months).
It also has 40 rows.
When a number is typed in the Second column / 12th row, the calculation is inserted in the Third column / 12th row adding up the 12 months of purchases.

All the calculations work fine. To do the calculation, I used the simplified field notation: fielda+fieldb+fieldc+ etc.

The problem Iím trying to solve is that it is inserting the number 0 in all the calculation fields (Third columns) starting at the twelfth row, although the Second column fields are empty.

I want the Third columns fields to remain empty until a number is entered in Second column.

Iím new at this, and spent the last 2 days trying to solve the problem on my own, searched this forum and others for the answer, but so far been unable to come up with an answer.

Thanks a big bunch for any help!

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
