RE: How Does One Open Another PDF Doc based on Relative Position?

I'm interested in opening another pdf document that is in the same folder as the document that will have the JavaScript that calls OpenDoc().

I see a lot of discussion about absolute path names, but if the documents are going to be located on different machines, how does one overcome the necessity to hardwire the pathname for every different machine these documents are placed on?

One would think that putting the documents in the same folder SHOULD do the trick, but I've not seen any mention of that possiblity either on this excellent forum or in the tech refs.

Is it impossible?
