Topic: Conversion of EPS graphic file yields blank PDF file?

I produced an EPS graphic (a bar chart graphic) and tried to convert this EPS file into PDF format using Acrobat Distiller (Professional Version 6.0.1). The Acrobat Distiller accepts the EPS file without showing any error messages and appears to perform some conversion process.
However, the resulting PDF file contains nothing, that is what I get is just a blank page.
The Acrobat Distiller on my computer does work in general, and PS files for example are converted correctly. And most of all, the same EPS source file could be converted flawlessly to a PDF file on a friend's computer running Acrobat Distiller Version 5.0.
I tried out many different settings that can be set for a job profile in Acrobat Distiller, but nothing changed the result so far. However, the size of the PDF file still changes with certain quality settings even though I always get a blank page.
Does anyone know what this could be due to?
