I'm having an issue when trying to create a new PDF by scanning it in. I have a Canon LiDE 30 USB scanner, Acrobat 7.0 Professional, and Mac OS X 10.4.6. Acrobat doesn't recognize my scanner. When I try to create the new PDF by scanning, the dialog that pops up with my scanning options just says "none."
I used this scanner with Photoshop CS just ten minutes before I tried to make a PDF, and everything worked just fine, although I had to use the Canon ScanGear program (or whatever it's called; it was launched through Photoshop).
I seem to recall having to jump through a few hoops to get Acrobat to pick up the PDF, but I can't remember exactly what they were.
Can anyone give me some guidance on how to make this work? I've thought about going back to Acrobat 5.0.5 (my favorite version, which I don't recall having problems with), but I'd like to make 7.0 work if possible.
Thanks,
Michael
