Hi to all,
I'm looking for some information that will help me improve a pdf workflow using Acrobat 6.0 professional.
We are making pdf documents for electronic viewing (in local government for our city Council) and are creating a 'meeting package' that is made up of various documents converted to pdf and some scanned to pdf.
I'm trying to ease our production workflow by using the Create PDF from Multiple Files feature, which allows us to combine all documents into one which is ideal.
We always seem to have documents that crash this process. Thankfully, Acrobat identifiies which document is causing the process to fail. These documents are MS Word documents (so far) and often have images (Planning dept. documents).
I can make it work by reopening the problem documents in MS Word and use Adobe Acrobat PDF printer to convert these documents to pdf then rebuild the document using the Create Pdf from Muliple Files.
I'm trying to understand the technical stuff behind the Create Pdf from Multilple Files feature so perhaps I can identify if there's a common issue in the documents that are crashing and deal with them before using this feature. I believe its related to the conversion process and tagging the documents.
Any help would be appreciated.
