Does anyone know of a way to stamp pages of a document scanned into pdf, but either remove the stamp if needed, or have it not print?

We receive a lot of medical records in our office and we need to keep track of where they come from and when they are received, but we do not want our date-stamp showing up on the printed version of these documents-when we have to exchange them with another party.

I think I have checked out almost every 3d party stamping software there is, and all of them are permanent. A couple had invisible type, but this is not what we're looking for. We need to be able to see the stamp on the screen, but not have it print, or to be able to remove it later. AND we need to be able to do this quickly. Using Adobe's stamp function is out of the question, it will take far too long to stamp each page manually.

If anyone has any suggestions, or has come up with a solution to this type of problem, please let me know.
