I am facing a peculiar link problem in PDF. I have mentioned the below example for getting a clear picture of the problem.

I have a PDF file named "Main.pdf". In this PDF there are 300+ links linking to different PDF's.

links like,

sale order report link launches saleorder.pdf sales register link
launches saleregister.pdf and so on and goes upto 300+ links.

What happens is, When I click a report say, saleorder.pdf from Main.pdf
the Main.pdf gets closed and the system displays saleorder.pdf.

In other words the parent pdf gets closed and the child PDF appears.
If I want to view another child PDF then I have open the parent pdf
(ie., Main.pdf) and launch the child pdf.

1. To overcome this problem I tried the option of unchecking the
"Cross-link" checkbox in preferences.

The problem with this is, The setting is applied only to my system and
not to the file. ie., If any other user opens the pdf then the PDF acts
upon that systems acrobat settings.

2. Another method I tried was with Acrobat Professional 7. Here, I have
to select the link and set the property "open in a new window" for each
and every link. ie., I have set this property for all 300 links. This
consumes lot of time and also it is a major problem when the parent PDF
is created/modified again.

3. Another method I adopted was modifying the adobe registry. This
works fine but officialy it is not a proper way to modify the registry
of an user system for just reading a PDF file.

4. Another method was using Javascript. For this too I have to write a
single line of code for all 300 links and repeat it once again when the
PDF is created/updated.

I need a software which will set this property.

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
