We just went through this in an Adobe Forum and we found that the problem was caused when cidaemon.exe was executing an Adobe DLL file. To circumvent the problem of Gig's of ACR*.TMP files from building in your c:\windows\temp file you can,
"Check for AcroRdIF.dll instead. Rename it to AcrordIF.dll.old". That by itself resolved the problem on my system. No reboot required. I did a search of my C: drive to find it but it was buried in "Program Files" in the Adobe area. Hopefully, Adobe will resolve the issue now that they have an idea what's causing it.
