I am a web designer/programmer (mostly vb) who has a situation where I would like to do the following but I am not sure how or even where to look to get information.
On the web the user enters information such as 'document title', 'user name' and a list of pdf files to be collected. This information is entered into a database.
What I would like to do follows:
1. get the database fields for 'document title' etc and insert this information in a pre-prepared cover sheet PDF file.
2. I would then like to merge this cover pdf with all the other PDF files that the user has selected, into a single PDF.
3. I would then like to add page numbers.
4. Finally I would like to add a table of contents after the cover page (and possibly an index at the end).
Is any of this possible and is there anyone who could give me pointers as to where to start looking.
