In the next few weeks I will be attempting to scan my textbooks into my computer for "ease of use". I will be using a HP OfficeJet 4415xi which has a 20 page feeder, and Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0. I will be on a Powerbook G4 1.5ghz 2GB ram.
The whole process is:
1) Create new PDF
2) Select HP Pro (TWAIN)
3) The HP Scan Pro window pops up and I set it to "Black and White", 300dpi, then I hit "New Scan".
4) I set the image capture to 8.5/11in and hit accept.
5) Acrobat askes me for the next page and I repeat steps 3-5 forever and ever.
Is there anyway to speed up this process? Like using something else instead of TWAIN, HP Scan Pro, etc? Also is there a way to use the sheet feeder so i can scan multiple documents and just walk away?
Lastly, if there are other posts, tutorials, etc, that have covered this topic and i have just been oblivious, sorry!
