Topic: Bad Parameter error when deleting pages

More and more often, when I delete pages from a PDF document I've created from a web page, I get an error message that reads, simply, "Bad Parameter." Regardless of how many times I click the OK button, the error dialogue box very briefly flickers, revealing the "Delete Pages From ____ to ___ of ___" dialogue box for an instant, only to return to the "Bad Parameter" error dialogue box.

I can move the error box out of the way, but I can't make it go away. And I can't click any other button on the page.

I've tried Ctrl+Alt+Del (Taskmanager) to see if the program is still responding and it always is. Under Processes, I see two instances of Adobelm_Cleanup.0001 running, yet the CPU usage is 0%. Yet I'm forced to shut down the program using Taskmanager.

When I re-start Adobe Acrobat 7.0.9 Standard and reopen the document from which I was attempting to delete pages, it accurately reflects that I've deleted pages, but the page(s) I was attempting to delete when it froze are still there.

Could anyone suggest a solution to this challenge?

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
