Topic: Scaling / Zooming for Printing

I am looking for a way to zoom or scale PDF documents for printing (HP C6180) on a paper size (A5) smaller than the PDF document's paper size (usually A4 or the US 8.5x11"). This is possible to a limited extent using the 'Page Scaling' drop-down in the 'Print' box (Adobe Reader 7.0.9), but my problem is that I have some PDF documents which have been created with rather generous margins, and if I use 'Reduce to printer margins' or 'Fit to printer margins', a zoom factor of some 66% is automatically applied to fit the whole page on, fat margins included.
What I want to do is to input a zoom or scale factor, say 80%, which will scale the document by that amount and allow me to print the document on A5 paper with reduced margins, ignoring the fact that A5 is smaller than (in this case) 80% of the original PDF document size.
I have tried the Foxit reader, with does have a scale input box, but this does not scale centrally, but from the top-left corner of the document, which makes a mess of it.
Does anyone know of a way of doing this with the Adobe reader, or of another reader which will allow it?
Thanks for any help!
