Hi guys, I am tryng to create a pdf template that is stored on a server and some php script opens teh file and replaces some placeholders I created with dynamically created text.

Apparently I need to save my pdf in ascii format (binary makes this task nigh on impossible) and have no compression on the.

I have acobat 7.0 pro and distiller 7.0 but i am unable to find the options that will allow me to save as ascii and have no compression.

According to the texts I have read - doing so would allow these placeholders I have (<> etc.) to be visible (bar a few added ()- and numbers) when opeing the pdf with notepad.

ANy help would be REALLY appreciated...

Thanks people.
