Topic: I can't edit obects in my PDF

Please help.

2 x 2 ghz D-C Intel Xeon
2gb ram

MAC OSX 10.4
ACROBAT 7.0 PROFESSIONAL
PHOTOSHOP CS2
ILLY CS2

When I click on an object and select "edit object" it should switch to Illustrator (set as my default object editor in preferences). This is not happening. The only thing that happens is that I get a status bar across the bottom that says "removing unused elements" and then "saving file".

I have the same problem with edit picture. It won't bring up photoshop.

Both Illy and Photshop already running in the background.

Any ideas???
