Hi,
I'm trying to convert a postscript file to a pdf document. The resulting pdf looks good, except for one thing: the page numbers are messed up.
EDIT: Yes, page numbers, not line numbers. Messed this up in the subject and you can't edit the subject of your post here, it seems. Sorry.
(Hope this is the correct place to ask this question - should I rather go to a postscript forum?)
You can only see the last digit of the page number in the pdf, while the complete page number is visible in the ps-file.
Examples (line number in ps => page number in pdf):
1 => 1
10 => 0
87 = 7
Ideas?
Here's some more information:
The ps-file was created out of a MS Word-document (don't blame me: it's the diploma thesis of a friend, not mine). To ensure that this is not the step that brakes it, I used different methods to do that and had a look at the resulting ps-file with ghostview, and the file looks ok (page numbers are still intact).
I don't know if this makes any difference but I thought I should maybe note it anyways: it seems to me that the last digit of the page number is darker than the other digits in the ps-file. You can see what I'm talking about in the attached file (200kB jpg image. Note that the '1' of the page number '17' is brighter than the '7'.)
I tried to increase the page margins in the original (word-) document cause I read about that on another forum I found via google, but that didn't help. :(
I hope somebody knows what to do. Thanks in advance,
Tim
