I've just learned that I'm going to be asked to do the following -
1 - create multiple PDF forms (contracts) that are secure and cannot be changed by anyone outside of legal - except for fields like name, $$, Date, etc...
2 - Programatically have this data populated from our database (SQL) on a one contract at a time basis
3 - Secure the final product so that NOONE can make changes to any field, including name, date.
As an added bonus, they would like it to be smart enough to figure out which form to use on it's own. i.e., if the person lives in Ohio, pick up the Ohio contract and fill in those forms, along with all of the Ohio specific attachments/addendum.
They are willing to invest my time and their money. Is this something I am going to be able to do on my own or will I require a 3rd party software? What Adobe product will we need?
I just need some pointers to get me started in the right direction for now, they are still in the "wouldn't it be nice" phase. I need to tell them if it's possible.
