I am experiencing a similar problem when creating a PDF file from a Word file. I'm working in a Word document that contains a number of tables. They vary in font size and have merged cells with varying numbers of cells and lines, including some gray and some black lines. I tried to use the same line weight 1 pt. but even then sometimes the borders do not show up in the PDF file. I do not remember having this problem in earlier versions. Is there anyone out there who can help? ? ? I do notice that if the magnification level is increased, this problem goes away. However, then the reader cannot see the entire page...not good. Please help.
