My laptop crashed. When re-installing Acrobat 6.0 Standard I get a message (AFTER all components have been loaded): "Acrobat can't continue. You need administrator privledges"..WELL, under user accts. I AM the Admin.

TECH FORUM ADVICE

i think u have admin priviliges but not as admin.
Only default administrator can access registry for some applications. So check whether Administrator account is held and you login as administrator.
try it.

I am the only user. Designation=administrator. I tried to create a new user titled Administrator. It says it already exists...WHERE CAN I FIND THE DEFAULT ADMIN USER??

PLEASE HELP.
