Topic: Text Box is completely BLACK

I am a volunteer for a large charitable organization. We have
about a dozen ladies who turn pdf files into writable and savable pdf forms.

Most of the pdf forms have simple text fields... either one line
long, or sometimes a large text "area" that multiple lines of
data can be typed into.

These pdf forms are then put up on a "Members' Only" website
for other ladies to download and fill in.

I just spotted one form that had been uploaded, that the first
field (large area for multiple lines of input) was one huge
BLACK field.

We are using Adobe Professional v9 to create these forms and
turn into writable and savable forms.

When I spotted the form, I gave the url to another volunteer,
to see if she was seeing the same thing I saw. She has both
version 7 and version 9 on her computer. She did *NOT* see
the field present itself in black, in version 7, but when she
looked at it in version 9, she saw what I was seeing.

Does anyone know what causes this, and how we can prevent
it? It doesn't happen very often - it seems to sometimes "just
happen".

Thank you,
~Brenda

Two Passwords Are Better Than One: The Low-Down On PDF Security

For people who don't spend their time looking at PDF files in text editors*, PDF security is a sometimes misunderstood beast.

For example, those document restrictions that PDF files sometimes have -- no Printing, Content Copying, Page Extraction, etc -- are essentially useless unless the PDF also has a User Password.

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
