I work at an In-Plant shop where we print from almost any program or "customer" requests. The problem is some people have bought Publisher 2000 and are using it instead of sending their work through our Art Dept.
Publisher is sold as a program that can be used by any commercial printer. We use a computer to plate system where I must put the art in a plate template. Normally I use InDesign 1.5 for this. I "print" the publisher file using Acrobat Distiller 4.05. The majority of the time it looks OK, but sometimes the type prints on top of its-self (loses spacing). Is there a cure for this other then trying to get people to utilize the Art Dept.?
