This might be a bonehead question, but when I make a PDF from InDesign for Screen usage only the file size is quite large (6 page document comes out to be 4MB) Now if I take that same InDesign document send it out as a PostScript File and then run it through Distiller it comes out 470K. What gives? Is there a setting I need to change? How can I get the same results via InDesign I get through Distiller? I'm using the
latest versions of both programs InDesign 1.5.2 and Acrobat 5.0 on the Mac.
In InDesign we have all our setting set to low resolution 72dpi for all images and the setting suggested in the help menu. We have also exported under Screen Optimized and still the same result. When we do open the PDF in Acrobat we notice that there are styles imbeded but this meta data should effect it that much in size, should it?
