The same thing occurs when I replicate your
scenario. You might want to visit Quark's web site
to see if they have some info on this.

However, here is one solution if you want to have
RGB in your PDF and have both pages work. Keep
the Composite CMYK setting in Quark but modify
your distiller setting to convert all colors to RGB.
