I agree with Bob. It shouldn't matter with Illustrator
9 in terms of PDF. If you use Illustrator only, then its
worth saving the step but if you use a layout
program, its easier to incorporate your graphic
elements in your page-layout program and create
your PDF from there.
The editing capabilities are preserved with either
method.
