Thanks for the quick reply!!!
Our environment is advertising within a newspaper.

We so far have liked what we've seen with the Quark 1.6
version of it's own PDF importer/exporter.

Operators to create PDF's to be checked/corrected/proofed
and then mass converted to eps if possible.
(The eps coversion stage may not be needed, we hope)
No OPI to worry about.
(re: acc5's new batch processing abilities......waiting
for our software to come through)

We also recieve a fair bit of client PDF's
(becoming more and more soon, we hope.)
Not many folks using In-design from our records.

Concerned about not being able to mass convert
colour images (from rgb or cmyk to grayscale)
within the PDFs to grayscale, as some images MAY
in fact only be running black ink but still within CMYK model.
Running through primary/secondary PitStop Server profiles.

Colour is a different beast we will address @ a later date.

Happy to see a glut of PDF tools coming out.
Hopefully this technology will mature into something
viable.
