In its first official comment on recent actions taken against a
Russian software company for alleged copyright infringement, Adobe
Systems underscored its intent to seek enforcement of the Digital
Millenniun Copyright Act (DMCA). As part of the Business Software
Alliance (BSA), Adobe has been extremely aggressive -- and successful
-- in the recent past taking legal action against companies and
individuals selling pirated versions of its software, or otherwise in
violation of copyrights. "No software ... is 100% secure from
determined hackers," an Adobe eBooks group representative told Planet
PDF and Planet eBook yesterday.
