We have a document imaging process that uses Ascent Capture 4.1 and Acrobat Capture 3.0.1. Over the course of several weeks I noticed the time it was taking to convert tiff files to pdf was increasing significantly in our work flow using the Capture software. Under the documents tab in Capture is a listing of all individual documents processed. It was in the thousands. Since it was just a listing, I cleared it and the processing time increased back to the original time it was taking. Has anybody else experienced this? Our imaging process is pretty automated and I was curious whether there was a way to turn this feature off. I have called Adobe with mixed results. Some of their technicians knew what I was talking about and said each document processed has to parse this log file so as it grows the process slows down which makes since. They were going to email me a technical document explaining this but I never received it. I have called back several times and the help desk person I spoke to this time did not know what I was talking about. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
